First Ski Weekend of the Winter Season

What an awesome opening weekend!  We were able to ski and ride six trails top to bottom with two lifts spinning.  Even though it's still November, it felt like mid-winter skiing and riding.  A big thank you to our Team Snowmageddon who allowed us to ski and ride a week early!  A couple of us here at Cranmore caught first chair and were on the trails a little after 9am.  What an amazing feeling to be back on the slopes after waiting all summer and fall!

We will re-open the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 29th for the weekends before we head into daily operations December 14th.  For those who don't ski or ride, or are looking for a little  more adventure for your weekend, look no further than the Tubing Hill and Mountain Adventure Park.  The Soaring Eagle Zipline, Mountain Coaster, and Giant Swing will all be operating Friday through Sunday, along with the Tubing Hill.

Team Snowmageddon is pumping out snow every chance they get.  If you're in town, you can see their work from the North South Road and downtown.  The trails are starting to get their white color again, and we are so excited!  We'll see you on the slopes this weekend!  Check out cranmore.com for all snow conditions and ticket pricing for the upcoming weekends.

Cranmore's Charity and Goodwill Committee Gives Back to the Mt. Washington Valley

Cranmore’s Charity and Goodwill Committee is full steam ahead moving into the giving season.

Founded in the winter of 2013-13, Cranmore's Charity and Goodwill committee has set out to give back to Cranmore employees with the Cranmore Cares Fund.  The committee fundraises internally for employees, but also participates in events around Mt. Washington Valley. "As a committee we wanted to pool together the efforts of those who already donate their time and money doing goodwill around the Valley" says Beth Hutchins, chair of the Charity and Goodwill Committee. So far Cranmore employees have participated in events around town, including, Kindness Weekend, Jen’s Friends Climb Against Cancer, Bark in the Park and more.

The resort's recent efforts were an employee food drive. Each staff member was encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the resort wide orientation on November 2nd, where all donations would benefit Vaughn Community Service Food Bank.  Cranmore's food drive will continue through Thanksgiving.

The committee has several events lined up this Holiday season.  Be on the lookout around the Valley and visit cranmore.com for more information regarding the Charity and Goodwill Committee.
