This past weekend we had classic spring skiing days here at
Cranmore. The sun was shining and temperatures were in the 40’s. The snow was
soft which lead to comfortable skiing and riding. On Saturday Cranmore along
with Arbor Snowboards hosted the Face/Off rail jam competition in the Alley.
Terrain Park Supervisor Ryan MacCallum and his hardworking staff put together a
tremendous set up for the event. The snowboarders who entered the contest truly
enjoyed the features. With the warm weather and the soft snow, the competitors
were able to really push their limits and test their skills. While the rail jam
went on, many people soaked up the sun from the deck of Zip’s Pub and Grill.

Sunday was exactly a carbon copy of Saturday. The day
started off with the last installment of the Skiing with the GM series. General
Manager Ben Wilcox was surprised again with the great turnout of skiers that
wanted to take advantage of skiing first tracks. The grooming team laid out a
great corduroy surface and everyone definitely ripped it up. After skiing about
5 runs everyone headed over to the Meister Hut for coffee, hot chocolate and
Rennie Rolls! As the day progressed the sun became higher in the sky and snow
was even softer making for another memorable day.
There is still plenty of good skiing left to this season.
With more days like this weekend ahead this is a good time to swing by and
Tanmore at Cranmore!
