Punxsutawney Phil's prediction for an early spring couldn’t be
further from the truth. This recently snow storm that left the slopes with 12
inches of new snow has kept the mountain in mid winter conditions. Looking
around the mountain you would think that we are in the middle of the month of
January as opposed to the end of March. 100% of our terrain is open and our
snow bases are tremendously deep which will ensure great skiing and riding
until our projected closing date of March 31st.

Aside from the great
packed powder skiing and riding conditions, there are plenty of great events
during the final two weekends of the season. This upcoming weekend there will
be the Spring Splash on Saturday the 23rd, where participants will
test out their water skills against our man made pond at the base of the North
Slope. This is a free event for those with a valid lift ticket or season pass.
Registration will begin at 9am and the event will start at noon. On Sunday the
24th, we are hosting Cranarchy which is an informal rail jam for our
loyal terrain park skiers and riders. There will be a free bbq for those who
participate. So make sure you make your way to Cranmore and enjoy some of the
finer events of the season with some of the best conditions of the season!
