Snowmaking |
After enjoying spring like weather this past weekend filled
with soft snow, this current January Thaw is coming to an end. Look for
temperatures to return to normal starting this evening. Our plan is to fire up
the snowguns on Tuesday night. Look for 24 hour a day production from Tuesday night
through Friday. With all that snow being pumped out expect trails like North
Conway, Triple Shot and Skimeister to open up this weekend. Also the guns will
be blowing on open terrain as well. There will be a fresh coating of manmade
snow on North Slope, Ledges and Bandit. Not only will snowmaking help us open
more trails, it will also help our terrain park crew set up more features in
the Double Feature Progression Terrain Park, including an advanced jump
section.

Comedy Night Poster |
All of the new snow made will set us up for a fantastic
Martin Luther King Weekend. There will plenty of events happening this weekend
on top of great ski conditions. On Friday January 18th Cranmore will
be hosting Comedy Night. This 21+ event will showcase the talents of Brian
Brinegar, Tom Clark and Christine Hurley. You can purchase tickets online for
$12 or $15 at the door. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm.
Coming up on Sunday is our 2nd Skiing with the GM
event. This event gives passholders a chance to ski first tracks with
Cranmore’s general manager Ben Wilcox. Meet at the base of the Skimobile Express quad
at 7:45am and load by 8:00am a full half an hour before the public is allowed
to load the lifts. Skiing will be followed with coffee and snacks in the
Meister Hut, where passholders will have the opportunity to sit with Wilcox to
discuss all things Cranmore.
We look forward to seeing you up here this weekend!
