Cranmore Blog: Ski Show Finished, Now Onto Winter!

The Boston Globe Ski and Snowboard Expo was a great time for us here at Cranmore. The end of the show signifies we'll be on the snow again in no time. A good amount of people were seeing our new logo for the first time as well as hearing about the awesome improvements we have going on here at the mountain. Everyone seemed excited about the new Mountain Coaster, expanded tubing park, new lifts, and the Arlberg Children's Center. They also liked the relocation of the South Double, renamed the C-more Double, that will provide access to our newly cut learning terrain. We were also complimented on the layout of our newly launched Cranmore Website.

Arriving into work today we were greeted by a welcoming sight. Our new South Quad received its chairs and they have been hung on the lines. Workers were installing what looked to be some very comfortable padding on them along with the safety bars. Right beside the lift is the Mountain Coaster which underwent some load testing and inspections this past week. It all went according to plan and we even had 30 Cranmore employees take rides and all of them greatly enjoyed it. We are looking forward to the approaching opening of it. Right next door you will also be able to purchase your tickets for the Mountain Coaster and tubing park at the renovated Artist Falls Lodge, our fitness center. We hold all types of classes from yoga to spinning and water aerobics to help take care of your fitness needs. Another opening we are looking forward to is the renovated Arlberg Children's Center which will take place on Thursday, December 16th. This is when our Snowsports School will be in full effect. Private lessons will still be available up until that time. The building is getting its finishing touches and looks to be a great experience for the children who will be enrolled in our Penguin and Adventure Camps. The building will have extended hours until 6 pm Sunday night through Thursday, and until 8 pm Friday, Saturday, and all vacation period days. We're doing this so you can come in the night you arrive and make reservations, get fitted for rentals, and purchase your lift tickets so you won't deal with the early morning rush. One other thing to keep in mind is what we have in store for the upcoming Summer here at Cranmore. Crews are working feverishly in the trees to assemble our Aerial Adventure Park & Ropes Course. We're adding double the number of disc golf holes we currently have. The Mountain Coaster will continue to run and we'll have our summer tubing park as well. All-in-all exciting things are shaping up at the mountain and we'll be able to provide you a fun, quality experience year-round that no one should miss out on.
